Stay Home If Sick

We recommend every Parent / Guardian to monitor your child each day for signs of COVID-19 or other illnesses.

These include:

Fever
Nasal congestion or runny nose
Cough
Sore throat
Shortness of breath
Fatigue
Headache
Muscle aches
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Poor appetite
Loss of taste or smell
Stomach ache
Pink eye (conjunctivitis)

To limit the spread of COVID-19 or other illnesses, children should stay home from school and other activities if they have any signs of illness or a fever. Contact your doctor immediately.

Some of our regular practices include-

Washing Hands:

Many of our parents are already aware of how important it is to wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before and after eating, coughing/sneezing, touching a surface, or adjusting a face mask. We at DDA will ensure that the same practice is explained to the children and we will continue to encourage these routines that encourage frequent hand-washing and good hand hygiene practices, such as asking children to cover their mouths and noses with their elbows or tissues when they cough or sneeze and then washing their hands.

We encourage all the parents to develop daily routines before and after school that will foster these healthy habits.

Sanitizing and Disinfecting the School:

High levels of hygiene are promoted and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces can help reduce the risk of illness. We will conduct a complete scrub-down of every possible touchpoint — chairs, tables, doorknobs, Montessori Educational Materials, sinks, and toilet rooms.

Ventilation of classrooms:

All our class areas have adequate ventilation and natural sunlight.

Vaccination:

All our adults and support staff are vaccinated.
